Additions to the marine fish fauna of the Philippines
Abstract
We present the details of nine marine fishes, of which three species (two moray eels, Family Muraenidae, and one species of the Family Blenniidae) are new records for the Philippines and another six species are notable range extensions within the country. These species were documented using both fish market visits and occasional underwater surveys (mainly SCUBA diving) in selected sites. This report suggests that more marine fish species are yet to be documented in the Philippine waters.
